Restaurant recommendations

During our last stay in London we found two great restaurants at Queensway Street that really need to be mentioned:

48 Queensway, Bayswater, London

was winner of “best cheap eats 2007” in TimeOut and really has impressed us with a cuisine at that derives its influence from The Straits (of Malacca) and its Far Eastern neighbours. Keagan loved it too and the staff was superfriendly. Really a great place also to go with kids. Check out their website.

102 Queensway, Bayswater, London

This is the place to go if one likes Cantonese BBQ. The peking duck was really the best we ever had and the crispy duck was also amazing. Next time we definitely have to try the honey-roast pork everybody is raving about.

This evening we did fresh pasta together. On the picture you can see our guests making ravioli instructed by our pasta master Susanna.

Today we went to Bern with Meeshell and Edwin. We were superlucky with the weather so the view from Münsterturm was gorgeous. On the way home we did a detour over Interlaken, Brienz and Lucerne.

Today Susanna did some serious sightseeing in Zurich with our guests. Of course the ETH and Sprüngli was on the list.

Guests from Singapore

This evening our friends Meeshell and Edwin will arrive at our place. They will stay till Monday and it’s sure going to be lots of fun to do some serious sightseeing with them.

Farmers in the city

There was a special event of the Swiss farmers association in the city. We went on a horse-drawn carriage ride, watched a pigglet’s race and Keagan could pat many supercute baby aimals which made him very very happy.
